Lace wig guide
360 vs full vs frontal vs closure lace wig: what's difference & how to choose
Today I’m going to share with you guys about the difference between the different types of lace wigs. I know there’s still a lot of people who don’t understand the difference between them because some of them are very similar. So I’m just going to be going over the differences between a closure wig, a lace frontal wig, a full lace wig, and a 360 lace wig.
What is a full lace wig
Full lace virgin hair wigs are wigs where the entire base of the wig or whole head section is covered by that same lace material. Full lace wigs are usually the most expensive wig because they give you the most customization range, you can do almost anything with a full lace wig, you can braid them, you can park them anywhere you want on your head, you could put it all the way up. Full lace wigs just give so many customization options. If you have a full lace wig, just like that’s your hair.
What is a lace frontal wig
Human hair lace frontal wigs are wigs with a piece of lace that is placed at the hairline position of the head. It gives you the flexibility to customize the whole front of your hairline however you want and part it wherever you want, it also allows you to be able to put it up in a half up half down. And basically, you just do whatever you want to the front of your head. But the back of your head is just a regular cap, so you won’t be able to put it all the way up.
What is a lace closure wig
Lace closure wigs are similar to lace front wigs. Closure wigs also have a piece of lace that is placed at the front of the wig, but the lace area is smaller than a lace front wig. Closure wigs typically comes in 4 X 4 inches in size, and frontal wigs are 13 X 4 or 13×6 inches in size.
What is a 360 lace wig
A 360 lace front wig is a kind of wig with a circle lace around the head. 360 lace wigs are regularly lifted in the middle and have full customization around the whole hairline. Therefore, that allows you to put it up.
What is the difference between a full, frontal, closure, and 360 lace wig
They support different hairstyles, and the difficulty of wearing them is also different. You should consider these two important factors before buying a wig
With 360 lace wigs and full lace wigs, you usually want to glue down at least a whole frame, because if not, you’ll be able to see the wig lifting up and it can just be annoying. So if you’re a very low low, low maintenance person, I would say closure wigs are the best for you. Frontal wigs are right in the middle. So if you want some flexibility with your customization, but you also don’t want to do too too too much work, frontal wigs will be an ideal choice!
Who should choose a full lace wig
If you want to change your hair into all different styles like ponytails like you want cornrows, all of that a full lace wig is probably best for you.
Who should choose a lace frontal wig
I don’t see a lot of people put their hair all the way up, I feel frontal wigs are the most popular. So if you usually just wear a wig down or you don’t have time to put it up and do all that other stuff, the frontal wig is better for you.
Who should choose a lace closure wig
Closure wigs are for the type of person who just likes to throw on the wig and go. You don’t need to style your hair much. You can definitely style your hair with a closure wig, but if you don’t plan on putting your hair up into ponytails or braiding hair, or doing all other stuff, closure wigs are the best for you. You could just throw them on and you usually don’t have to glue them down (of course, you can glue them down if you want). Besides, they’re also more affordable than the other wigs.
Should you buy a 360 lace wig?
If you have enough budget, buying a full lace wig will be better, because a 360 wig is only a little cheaper than full lace wigs, but you can do more with a full lace wig. For example, you can get a pigtail & space bun with a full lace wig, but you can’t get the same hairstyle with a 360 lace wig.
